INFORMATION REGARDING PERMISSION FOR THE USAGE OF TARGET-SHOOTING WEAPONS TOGETHER WITH AMMUNITION IN SWEDEN
A person travelling to Sweden may take firearms and ammunition into the country for the purpose of target-shooting provided permission has
been granted prior to the journey.
The following information is compulsory when applying for permission:
- The weapon ́s make, serial number and caliber.
- What purpose the weapon is being used for and the period of validity in Sweden.
Earliest day of arrival and latest day of departure (including flight number if you arrive by air). - The amount of ammunition and caliber.
- The applicants name, date of birth, address, and country.
- The name of the competition organizer together with addresses and telephone number.
- Where the site of competition are situated.
- Invitation
- Copy of certificate of the firearms from the home country shall accompany the application.
- Border Station where weapons will be taken in and out of the country.

The application should arrive to the organizer Michael Axell at least eight weeks
before the arrival of the guest and include, Copy of certificate of the firearms from the home country and copy of the European firearms pass shall accompany the application. Everything can be sent by e-mail to Info@protectioncompany.se
A service charge of 870 Swedish Crowns for each permit and has to be paid when the application is made.
Issued permits will be sent to the applicant’s home address.
Weapons, license and Issued permits for import are to be presented together whit de customs declaration form to the Custom Authority on arrival.
On the departure the weapons shall be presented for Customs in order to receive a stamp and to obtain permission for its departure. The personnel
of Arlanda airport in connection with Check-In of baggage control this procedure.
